It is 1:30AM and I am reading blogs when I should be sleeping. I am totally exhausted from my inaugural trip to experience an Ironman. I guess I just can’t get enough! I was there and yet I find myself hungrily devouring race reports.
What a great time I had – so GREAT! I have the least pictures of anyone so I’ll leave the proof (no pictures = didn’t happen) up to others but let me just say that being in the midst of an Ironman race is really fun and really exciting and I am SO glad I made it.
More later – I really do need to get to bed but before I do let me just extend yet another hearty
CONGRATULATIONS! to everyone who toed the line. You are amazing for suiting up and putting yourself out there. Thanks for the inspiration.
Oh man! That was YOU?! I thought you were related to Bolder somehow where you were standing and what not. Argh! Oh well… I’m glad to have ‘met’ you, even if we didn’t get a proper introduction in person.
Oh well… I’m glad that you had a good time. I thought the whole weekend was a blast. I hope you had as much fun as I did!
so glad I got to meet you in person and that you got home safely..isn’t it just amazing to watch an Ironman!!!
Isn’t it a fantastic experience! So, you’re going to do one?
Very nice to meet you. Thanks for your help on the big day!
Yes I now recall that you did do my T2 sunscreen, and in fact you identified yourself by name and blog just as I was stepping away – it took a while for me to pull that back out of the mists of memory (some of these things go in a blur)!
It’s such a cool experience, isn’t it? Did you sign up for next year? Can’t wait to see photos.
pretty great to be a spectator/volunteer, isn’t it? when i volunteered at imaz a few years back – oh, but it gave me the im bug BAD. 🙂
what do you think, mom? is there one in your future??
Thanks for being part of the cheering section! I wish I could have met you in person!
