I really wanted to run the Nike Women’s 1/2 Marathon in SF on October 22. It is already sold out! I swear I was just looking for the 2006 site to come up about 2 weeks ago and now it is SOLD OUT!!! I am so bummed I can hardly stand it. I’m guessing that TNT has reserved well over 1/2 the spots so I am hoping it opens up again if they don’t fill all the places. I even sent them an email. WAHHHHHHH………..
(I know – you’re all wondering if I’d like a little cheese with that whine)
I also had a merely so-so run. 5.16 miles, avg pace 11:13. I did do a lot of hills but still – that did not make my day.
Addendum – I got an email back and the guy said it was sold out and there is no waiting list. I’m going to subject myself to a Nike mailing list just in case I’m right and TNT releases some spots and they need to let people know they are available. A girl can dream.
That totally sucks!
Or…you could find out who the last person on the list is…and arrange a little…mishap…no?
Come here to run the Civitavecchia half marathon, it is not sold out and the start is 5 minutes walking far from my house.Don’t worry, all the Black Knight Army italian legion will be your escort.
elle and Stefano – those are both great ideas. I’ll think about it!
Check on craigslist closer to the marathon date–people get injured all the time. Alternately, they raffle marathon entries if you attend Nike’s weekly training runs which kick off in July.
