Not that kind of race – the other kind. The rat race.
A year ago I would have given up all the training time in the world to have the problem of having to go back to work tomorrow. This year I am giving up all the training time in the world to go back to work tomorrow. Training time or time of any kind that isn’t dedicated to work is very hard to come by these days.
I am deeply grateful to have this problem but oh how I miss those days of leisure.
Anyone have some cheese to go with this little whine?
Never mind – no more cheese. No more cookies. No more pie. No more high carb meals. I have a vacation to tropical paradise coming up and I need to to de-lard for that.
Ooooo…. what’s that, you say? More later.
Oh I agree, it is so tough to balance all these demands on our time. Happy to hear that you are taking a break though
welcome to the last 35 years of my life! 🙂 I do so much better with a tight schedule! Pencil it in and it will be done!
Where are you going for fun and sun???
I feel your pain! I started a new job last year and it proved to be more challenging than I had imagined. Add a longer commute into the mix and it leaves little time for training. I had to cut my tri season short last year, because I just couldn’t fit it all in. I am hoping that this year I can get a better grasp on everything!
