Bold Moves

Did you watch the NBC coverage of Ironman Kona? Whoa – that was some serious inspiration. I missed the first hour but I think the end of an event like that is where the real inspiration comes from.

Loved that OCD guy with his Forrest Gump/Rain Man thing.

Love, love, love Sister Madonna Buder. Love her.

Loved it all. Maybe some day. For now I need to make it through my first Oly then I’ll think bigger thoughts.

I heard about that and how amazing it was from a running buddy. He was watching it…I was playing on the internet. 🙂

I saw the last hour. How inspiring. I was in tears watching the finish. I may never do one but want to be a volunteer. God bless Sister-she is breaking ground for us.

Yes, I watched it too with our IM crowd. The person who stuck in my mind? The woman who had been struck by a car and was now paralyzed. Not only did it strike a familiar chord in me, but it made me realize that my injuries were not nearly as debilitating, and if she could do this, I have no excuses to do anything either.

Yeah- watched it! I loved the war veteran-he was just so ‘Straight up’ about everything. And the ALS warrior routing for the guy running for him….well, there were tears for sure! They actually did a pretty good job this year!(some of the music sucked tho!)
