You Could Fry an Egg on my Head

I don’t know how people in Arizona and Texas can stand it. The heat, that is. It was 112 today. It was 111 yesterday. It is after 10 PM and it is still over 80. My AC is set to 78 and it runs 24×7 and I feel like this uber energy hog because that isn’t cool enough so we have fans running, too. I feel like the Air conditioner unit is going to have a melt down and sink right into the ground. And I really need to go to sleep but it won’t be easy. bleh.

I am SO glad I don’t have to do any running. It is already 75 by 6 AM. Too.Damned.Hot!

I know, I know.. you’re all wondering if I’d like a little cheese with that whine. Sorry.

    global warming? what global warming? Is this normal for northern ca?? It’s hot here, but THANK GOD i have a balcony and a porch and i leave the door open night and day and get a nice breeze. but the running in the humidity is getting OLD, fast.

    I’m starting to get psyched about your marathon. My boss who is an avid marathoner is traveling to San Jose this week and he said he wished his business travels could be timed so he could run this marathon in San Fran and I said, I know someone who is running that! Sorry it’s been so hot. It was hot here and then it cooled off, just in time for our A.C. to go out.

    Oh I’ll see your heat wave and I’ll raise you a humidex of 1000 degrees. Frig…I can handle the heat…but the humidity kills me. And for the record…I too am psyched about your race. You’ve put more into it than I’ve put into my own training…you rock my dear.

    My Texan brother-in-law will never convince me to move to Texas, no matter what the charms of that state. It’s not quite so hot where I am (we are below 100), but that humidity is killing me, even at 6 a.m. How about a nice Brie! ;->

    God but I know what you mean!We have an ancient AC that came with the house that must be 20 yrs. old.Talk about big and noisy!Shake, rattle and roll everytime the compressor kicks off.You can hear it from two houses away. LOLI live in fear that it’s going to bite the big on one of these insanely hot days.We’re running fans too!
